lyrics
My task before the last few limbs of light point way beyond / The pitch black hills where the night is young and the air is crystal and cold / Is to balance out the colors in my mind and separate / The oil from the water with the pressures from the day
What I place under the handle or what I shake into the lock / Should lead me to my resting place / My solace and my rock
So I wait on sunny concrete by the grasses / Here until / I can offer more than the fractures in my skull up from this hill
Smell the pine
Sip the dew
There is a river of wine I will dissolve into
Now I'm not chasing anyone I'm just running to be hidden
The highway twists under the moon and turning back is forbidden
Then I should be enlightened sleeping in among the thistles
A roadside remedy for my comfort and my pride
Maybe I'll be awoken with a resurrected mind
Greeted by your open arms
I'll be all you find
Smell the pine
Sip the dew
There is a river of wine I will dissolve into
My top album of 2013. Jordan Ireland has an innovative yet traditional songwriting and lyrical style. Dirty and delicate tunes from the heart of Australia. Mali Mali

Such a good sounding record. Heaps of instruments are involved in this record, but all is used sparingly. The harps and glockenspiels come in and out and dance around the melodies, the guitar is beautifully recorded, and the builds and arrangements of songs like Nocturne and Kitsune are mosh-worthy. British folk musician Tom Nash built these delicate and moving songs around a broken harmonium, allowing its limitations to open up worlds. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 12, 2021
